Bringing 3M’s global State of Science Index to life through a data-rich Web and Social experience…
The Challenge
Since 2018, 3M has tracked how the world values science through the State of Science Index, a global, original research survey to explore the image of science. We recognized an opportunity for insights from the study to power a platform for thought leadership with a POV and call to action 3M could leverage across the PESO spectrum.
The Solution
Ketchum conceived, designed and built a microsite featuring interactive maps, data exploration tools and infographics. Supplemented with a toolkit for 17 local markets’ usage, as well as amplified through a social media campaign with paid social amplification, which helped advance 3M as a credible voice for science.
Partnering with 3M Dev Ops, the Ketchum Dev team developed, QA’d and pushed code on 3M’s (antiquated) CMS platform called FUSE, which featured an Interactive map, which displayed the most meaningful country stats from the participating 3M offices/countries

3M Xtract Product Launch
For this project, I lead support on Content Strategy, UX, Design and Build for a 3M product launch within their Consumer Abrasives group. Challenges included completing the development work outside of their antiquated CMS (Fuze), followed by integration, debugging and systems trouble-shooting in order to have our front-end code effectively hosted and displayed on their internal CMS platform.
We overcame those challenges and our day-to-day client team (along with their C-suite executive team) couldn’t have been happier with our landing page experience for launch.
